Vancouver Class 5 Driving Licenses

The Class 5 driving licence is the standard licence that allows you to operate a motor vehicle including cars, trucks, construction, utility vehicles (2 axles maximum) and motorhomes (may exceed 2 axles).

Class 5 also allows you to tow trailers or vehicles up to 4,600kg.

Class 5 licences allow you to drive a limited speed motorcycle or an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and to ride 3-wheeled vehicles but does not include 3-wheeled motorcycles (trikes) or motorcycle/sidecar combinations. This would require a motorcycle licence.

Vancouver Class 7 Driving Licences

The class 7 driving licence is a graduated licence. By going through graduated licensing (GLP), you’ll learn the skills and attitudes that will help you become a safe and confident driver. You’ll ease into driving in a less risky way—first with a qualified supervisor, then on your own.

To get through GLP, you’ll have to pass three tests—one multiple choice test, then two road tests. If you drive safely, it’ll take about three years from start to end. That means lots of time to study, practice, and take driver training to develop your knowledge and skills.

Vancouver Road Tests Vehicle Options

We offer modern, clean and safe vehicles for your driving course and instruction. We can also use your vehicle to do road testing and instruction. It is your choice and both options are available. We always pick you up from your location or meet at an agreed upon neutral location of your choosing.

Our driving courses give you easy flexibility to work with your busy schedule. AAA BC Driving School operates 7 days a week and we can be booked for any period during the day or evening, weekends and holidays that suits your specific needs.

Our driving school rates are some of the most affordably priced in the city. I hour lessons start at just $60. As more hours are booked we give our students a gradual discount.
